Cats & Dogs

LifeChip provides a permanent answer to ensuring your pet is identified if tragedy occurs or your loved companion animal escapes and gets lost. It is a sad fact that every day unidentified pets are humanely destroyed at animal shelters throughout Australia - simply because their owners could not be identified and contacted.

If your pet is lost, a special scanner can detect the LifeChip with it's unique number code, in much the same way as barcodes are read in the local supermarket.

The ID code, along with all ownership and address details, can be recorded on the Petsafe database.

Petsafe operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Registration can be completed by your vet at the time of implantation or you can do it yourself over the web at www.petsafe.com.au. Once your lost pet has been scanned and identified on the Petsafe database it can be returned to you.

All Councils, and the majority of veterinarians routinely scan all recovered pets to help re-unite pets with their owners.
